Course Background

This course will provide attendees with the skills to identify the possible location of asbestos together with knowledge of the relevant legislations. The course is designed for people who undertake construction activities and need an understanding of the possible location of asbestos based products and action to take in the event of their discovery.

Brief Outline Of Course

The aim of the course is for delegates to understand the hazards and risks of working with materials containing asbestos. Helping delegates to reduce the risks of working with asbestos and provide a safe place of work. Compliance with statutory legislation and Approved Codes of Practice.

Working safely with asbestos cement
Decontamination and cleaning
Selection and use of personal protective equipment
